Biography
Sathiya (Sath) Muthiah is the Chief Executive Officer of VRV Global, responsible for the firm’s overall strategy and the development of its trading and operating platforms across commodities. He brings close to a decade of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, having built and scaled commodity trading businesses while also working closely with policymakers, financial institutions, and global counterparties.
His career has been shaped by hands-on leadership roles in regional trading platforms as well as government-led trade development initiatives. Sath has played a central role in establishing and growing Asia-based commodity operations, with a focus on execution discipline, risk management, and building long-term partnerships across producers, customers, and capital providers. He holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management and a Master’s degree in Government and Commercial Law.
